Hello! I'm Jesus Olivas! 

I’m an artist and illustrator from Texas. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a deep passion for art. I always dreamed of turning that passion into a career, but the world around me insisted that being an artist wasn’t a sustainable path. So, I kept art as a side passion — something I loved from a distance. By 2012, creating art had almost completely disappeared from my life.

That all changed in 2020, when a good friend introduced me to drawing tablets and digital art. I was blown away by the technology and knew I had to try it myself. He let me borrow his tablet — and eventually gave it to me for free, saying, “Promise me you’ll use it, and it’s yours.” From that day forward, I made a vow to honor that promise. I dedicated myself to learning digital art and growing as an artist.

Thanks to today’s technology and access to information, I discovered that what I had believed about the art world was completely wrong. There are thousands of artists not only making sustainable careers, but thriving far beyond that. This realization reignited the dream I had put away so long ago.

Now, I’m fully committed to learning, creating, and growing every day. My passion is also to encourage others who have believed the same lie I once did — that art can’t be a “real” career. I want to help others break free from that mindset and embrace their creative potential.

Though I’m still far from the artist I want to be, I’m excited for the journey ahead — wherever it leads. Thank you for taking the time to view my work, and if you’ve read this far, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
